When we first saw Ivan's work, we immediately commissioned him to come up with something special for our Turbo Suite.
He immediately agreed. Now we dare say we have a conference room that is worthy of magazine coverage! Ivan has been proudly adding the essential finishing touches to many a home, completing the picture of cosy yet modern urban living sans the "tacky tricks" that lots of mediocre designers are guilty of. Shy and mild mannered, Ivan politely refused to have his picture taken but granted us an insight to his thought process.


How long have you been doing what you're doing Ivan?
Two years since the first idea of bringing arts and graphics to interior space.

What's the hardest part?
To make people understand about arts and graphics and how it will affect the space.

Is this your own company? What's the concept behind the name? We noticed that it is a clever spelling of the word "art" front and backwards.
Traart - the reflection of arts. (Ivan winks)

At the moment what are you working on?
I am not telling except that our next project will be bringing more arts and graphics to space.

What is your idea of an attention grabbing piece of work? Any that you've seen lately?
Work that places emphasis with balance. Take for example the architecture of The Esplanade. But the lighting factor leaves more room for improvement!

Where will you be going after this interview?
Appointments. Appointments. Appointments...

Who do you think will be making waves in the design scene next year? One Who (?)

What's on your to-do list for the rest of this year or is there any to-do list at all?
